GBOKPADYU FOUNDATION
Gbokpadyu Foundation, Inc. meaning (Helping Child) in the Bassa language, a local dialect in Liberia; was established on February 8, 2014 as an association to respond and advocate to address the persistent impoverished state of residents in Kpogbarn Statutory District, Grand Bassa County. The organization eventually became a non-governmental organization that has promoted peace, unity, reconciliation, development, WASH, Education, Medical Outreach and Agricultural activities in Grand Bassa County and beyond. As a National NGO, Gbokpadyu Foundation operates her programs around four thematic areas modeling her activities around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The vision of the organization is to advance the social, economic and health imbalance in Grand Bassa County and Liberia at large, through grassroots consultation and participation. This is done by creating platforms that enable citizens to have access to information, meet their leaders face to face and also ensure that development meets the neediest in all spheres of society with discrimination.
The mission is being accomplished by the provision of safe drinking water, medical outreach, information dissemination, education, citizens’ access to developments, financial aid programs, organization of peace and reconciliation initiatives, organization of democratic activities, agricultural activities and recreation activities.
The organization has experienced working with donors, managing donor funding and has developed cooperative relations with local and international non-governmental organizations implementing short and long-term community integrated development projects.
