Hon. Thomas A. Goshua II Sr.
Born on June 28 to Col. Garpu Moses Goshua, Sr and broadcast journalist Victoria Tamara Christopher (both of whom are deceased), Thomas A. Goshua II. is the elder son to both parents and has eight (8) siblings.
He began his early childhood education at the Calvary Baptist Church School and graduated from the College of West Africa where he obtained his high school diploma and WAEC certificate. He holds an Undergraduate/Baccalaureate degree (Cum Laude) in Economics from the Liberia Christian College and Graduate degree in Finance from Cuttington University Graduate Program, and is utilizing his educational achievements and work experiences in the advancement of his career goals while positively contributing to the specific objectives of his employers.
He has over twenty-four (24) years of work experience as an Account Assistant, Accountant, Auditor, Administrator, and Banker at reputable institutions. Currently, Hon. Thomas A. Goshua II. Sr. serves at the 55th Liberian Legislature where he represents the interests of the people of Electoral District #5, Grand Bassa County for the second term and formerly chaired the Grand Bassa Legislative Caucus. He serves on the House of Representatives’ Committees on Drugs, Rehabilitation & Reintegration (Chairman); Water and Sanitation Hygiene & Environment (Co-chairman); State Owned Enterprises (Secretary); Post & Telecommunications (Member); and Maritime (Member). He is also the Chairman of the WASH Legislative Caucus. He serves his party as the National Vice Chairman for Political and International Affairs of the Alternative National Congress (ANC).
Hon. Thomas A. Goshua II Sr. is a member of the LIONS Clubs International, the world’s largest service organization, providing service through the Paynesville Orient Lions Club (POLC) to the people of Liberia. He is also the Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Gbokpadyu Foundation Inc, a local NGO, promoting peace, unity, reconciliation, development, WASH initiatives, education, medical outreach, drugs and narcotics abuse awareness & advocacy, and agricultural activities in Grand Bassa County District #: 5 and beyond, with all activities modeled at achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Hon. Thomas A. Goshua II Sr, is a devout United Methodist, happily married to Veria Annie Goshua for over eighteen (18) years and the union is blessed with four (4) children.
